WESTAMPTON, N.J. - Lamina Lighting Incorporated (Lamina), an innovator of LED lighting systems and technologies, enters its 7th year in business with the introduction of a new corporate identity and web site summarizing its growth from a pioneering start-up to an influential leader in the solid state lighting industry.
“Lamina has been credited with heralding a new era for the lighting industry, and in many ways our new corporate identity personifies that spirit of challenging the norm. In just the past year, trends in performance have signaled that LED technology is essential to the future of lighting and our company’s role in the industry has developed to meet those challenges,” said Frank M. In its first seven years, Lamina developed the brightest LED lighting products utilized in myriad lighting fixtures and installations throughout the world, including major hotels, retail stores and theatrical events. The company has shipped nearly one million LED lighting products worldwide, contributed to the creation of industry standards, and worked with government agencies to promote the advancement of LED technology. Laminas’ expansion strategy involves an approach that encompasses OEM, lighting systems & accessory sales, and licensing, with the aim to eventually touch every application of ultra bright white LED illumination. “We believe that the declining costs of LED lighting applications will translate to a future where all lighting becomes LED lighting. As the quality of light continues to improve, the cost of operation is significantly reduced, and there seems little reason for end users to choose ‘harsh, flickering and energy hungry’ when they have access to a great deal more,” said Shinneman.
