FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Ca. - SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools and tactical products, has announced the newest addition to its law enforcement product line—the G3 LED Holster Kit. Built around SureFire’s popular G3™ LED flashlight, the kit features an ergonomic holster designed to minimize flashlight deployment time using a new “cross draw” technique that allows the light to be drawn and paired with a handgun in a quicker, more efficient motion. The holster also houses three spare batteries (included), supplying the G3 LED with enough power to generate 18 hours of total useful runtime in the field -- substantially more runtime than current rechargeable flashlights.

“The G3 LED Kit was designed to provide law enforcement professionals a cost-effective and ergonomically superior alternative to rechargeable flashlights,” said Aaron Zapata, SureFire’s product manager for the new kit. “With the three extra batteries held in the holster, the G3 LED kit provides up to 18 times more runtime than the typical rechargeable police duty light. The adjustable angle holster can be used in the standard vertical position, or the officer can place it at the front of his belt at an angle, which frees up belt space, increases comfort while seated, and allows use of the faster, more intuitive cross-draw technique. Those advantages, plus the fact that you no longer have to keep track of chargers and places to recharge, make the G3 LED a clear winner.

Constructed of a durable polymer, the reversible G3 LED holster can easily be positioned anywhere on a duty belt, accommodating both right- and left-handed officers. The flashlight sits in the holster bezel down and is canted at an angle to allow for a quicker draw in high-stress situations where every moment counts. And the angle at which the flashlight is canted is adjustable, allowing a user to position the light to accommodate his or her personal preference.

The polymer-bodied, aluminum bezel G3 LED has a solid-state (no filament to burn out or break) light emitting diode that generates a maximum output of 80 blinding lumens. And it’s digitally regulated to keep producing tactical-level light for 5.8 hours and useful light levels for 9.4 hours on a set of three batteries. At a length of 6.5 inches and a weight of only 5.5 ounces, the G3 LED is compact and light enough to carry every day. Its non-conductive, corrosion-proof body is constructed of SureFire’s proprietary Nitrolon® polymer and features a molded-in grid pattern for a secure grip in wet conditions or while wearing gloves. Like all SureFire illumination tools, the G3 LED, and its holster, is backed by SureFire’s No-Hassle Guarantee. The kit—which includes a G3 LED flashlight with three SureFire batteries pre-loaded, a holster, and three spare SureFire batteries—has an MSRP of $129 and is available from an authorized SureFire dealer or directly from SureFire by calling 800-828-8809 or visiting surefire.com.
