Emergency lighting supplier chooses Canadian company as distributor

TORONTO, On. - eDistributor.ca has been appointed exclusive manufacturer’s representative and branch outsourcing partner of Datexx, manufacturer of emergency and power management products.

Datexx’s most successful product to date is the Sentina smart rechargeable LED light, which turns on automatically once a power failure is detected, providing up to eight hours of light. Its motion sensor switches on the top light for one minute once it detects movement; and a photoelectric night light comes on at dusk, then turns to dim mode at dawn. The light ships with a built-in charger and three “AAA” NiMH, rechargeable batteries. Datexx says the LEDs burn cool, lasting for 100,000 hours. Additionally, the firm offers the Sentina SUPERBattery (LED-99; $49.95), which can be used as a back-up battery for cell phones and other portable devices, like the iPod or a Blackberry. It has a direct USB connection to charge any USB device, and comes with the four most popular cell phone tips fitting many Motorola, Samsung, LG, and Nokia cell phones (additional tips are available separately). A pre-charged SUPERBattery will provide up to four hours of cell phone talk time, 36 hours on standby, and five hours iPod play time. A built-in crank offers a second source of power.

The Sentina ULTRABattery (BT-2200; $49.95) supplies 2200mA of power that the firm contents can charge a cell phone up to four times; charge two devices simultaneously; or double an iPod’s play time. It has an LED power level indicator, and supports various cell phones, the iPod, MP3, PDA, Sony PSP, Nintendo Gameboy, and most other standard USB products.

Combining a rechargeable LED lamp with a cell phone/iPod USB charger is the Sentina Outback (LED-98; $49.95). It boasts a motion detector light (up to 10 hours precharged) and super bright LED light; while outdoor users can benefit from an SOS siren. It comes with a built-in 5V NiMH rechargeable battery and charger, built-in industrial crank generator that offers a secondary power source, and four cell phone tips for most Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, and LG phones (others available separately).
