WEST SPRINGFIELD, Ma. - Cyalume Technologies, Inc. announced that it has achieved International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) 9001:2000 certification for the design and manufacturing of its chemiluminescent products. ISOQAR, an independent auditing agency conducted the final certification audit and certified that Cyalume's Quality Management System conformed to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Cyalume is the only U.S. manufacturer of chemical light products that has earned ISO 9001:2000 certification. Their products are used domestically and internationally for safety and security applications as well as for military training and combat. "This is a significant milestone for Cyalume Technologies because it affirms our leadership position within the industry and our commitment to providing the highest quality products and service to our customers," said Cyalume CEO Derek Dunaway.

The ISO 9001:2000 standard specifies requirements that an organization's Quality Management System (QMS) is focused on meeting and improving customer satisfaction and product quality. As part of the certification process, Cyalume Technologies has reengineered its own QMS to ensure that it has the processes necessary to provide and improve quality on a regular, quantifiable, and demonstrable basis.

"Cyalume's support team has successfully implemented an effective quality management system based on the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard," said Joe Longo, Manager of Technical Services at Cyalume. "The team has demonstrated unwavering focus in creating and implementing a QMS system which provides for continuous improvements in quality, increased customer satisfaction, and a dedicated, systematic approach to overall quality management."

Cyalume's certification process began over two years ago. During that time, the company rebuilt its Quality Management System from the ground up and has executed a continual process of internal quality audits to ensure ongoing ISO 9001:2000 standard compliance.

On February 14, 2008, Cyalume Light Technologies agreed to be acquired by Vector Intersect Security Acquisition Corporation (OTC:VTRQ) (BULLETIN BOARD: VTRQ) , a special purpose acquisition company. Upon consummation of the acquisition, Derek Dunaway, CEO of Cyalume will become Chief Executive Officer of Vector Intersect. Yaron Eitan, currently CEO of Vector Intersect will become Vice Chairman of the Board. It is expected that, upon consummation of the acquisition, Vector Intersect will change its name to Cyalume Technologies Holdings. On September 12th, 2008 Vector filed a revised proxy statement with the SEC in anticipation of a shareholders vote to approve the acquisition of Cyalume by Vector.
