AURORA, Oh. - Energy efficient lighting innovator TCP, Inc. is combining the benefits of its compact fluorescent lamps with new LED technology to create the SpringLamp® three-way CFL/LED light bulb. The three-way CFL/LED hybrid switches between 19-watts, 30-watts and a 1-watt LED night light, comparable to a 50/100/150-watt incandescent bulb, for use in table lamps and floor lamps.

Lasting an average of 10,000 hours (more than 10 times longer than an incandescent), the three-way CFL/LED is manufactured using lead-free glass. This gives the bulb better lumen maintenance over its life and a color temperature closest to incandescent light. A new amalgam technology provides cooler operating temperatures for consistent performance in any position.

"As the pioneers of the energy efficient lighting movement, we're excited to offer consumers a combination CFL/LED light bulb - the next generation of lighting products that are helping reduce energy costs and protect the environment," said Ellis Yan, CEO, TCP, Inc. "This new product allows consumers to try LED technology at home, many for the first time, without sacrificing light quality or color."

TCP, Inc. is the global leader in energy efficient lighting innovations dedicated to creating high-quality products that are brighter, longer lasting and better for the environment. Headquartered outside Cleveland, Ohio, the company manufactures nearly 1.4 million energy saving compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) every day, accounting for a majority of the CFLs sold in the United States and an annual reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of more than 118 million pounds. The company markets a variety of energy efficient lighting products for professional, specifier and consumer markets under several brands including n:vision at The Home Depot, SpringLight, and ecoVations. TCP's extensive product line extends beyond CFLs and includes LED lamps and fixtures, cold cathode lamps, exit and emergency lighting, HID, decorative and outdoor fixtures, as well as the first ever linear lamp, ballast and fixture offering. TCP is a privately held company, employing more than 15,000 people globally and totaled more than $300 million in sales in 2007, a more than fivefold increase since 2000.
