EAGLEVILLE, Pa. - The TLR-1 from Streamlight® Inc. has taken home the 2006 “Accessory of the Year” award from Shooting Industry magazine. It’s the second year in a row that the company has won a Shooting Industry award. In 2005, the company’s Thunder Ranch Illumination System took home “Safety Product of the Year” honors.

The TLR-1 leverages the latest super high-flux LED technology and machined-aluminum construction to deliver unmatched performance, durability and security when mounted on a firearm. A three-watt Luxeon® LED produces up to 80 lumens of blinding white beam, with a bright secondary halo of light. The TLR-1 mounts securely to any Glock- or 1913 (Picitinny-style) rail with a new rail mount design that allows rapid, one-handed deployment and detachment without the user’s hand passing in-front of the muzzle. The new design also offers a high degree of sight repeatability when remounting.
Rated at up to 2.5 hours of continuous runtime, the new TLR-1 offers significant runtime advantages over traditional incandescent tactical lights. Solid-state current regulation keeps illumination levels constant throughout battery life, and the Luxeon LED features a 20,000 hour lifetime, making blown bulbs a distant memory. Plus, the TLR-1 is fully waterproof, and fits all existing light-bearing holsters.
The TLR-1 is powered by two, 3-volt CR123A Lithium cells. It has been extensively live-fire tested, and offers Streamlight’s exclusive “No Excuses” limited lifetime warranty.
