Oktoberfest trend 2006: Squeeze my DOT-it and I’ll squeeze you

luminous gingerbread heart

Luminous gingerbread heart

MUNCHEN, De - Like no other event the Oktoberfest in Munich brings together tradition and modern Zeitgeist. In keeping with this theme, at this year’s Oktoberfest (September 16th until October 3rd) a true classic will be upgraded with state-of-the-art technology. All those who love nibbling gingerbread hearts together with their darling can expect a happy surprise this year. For the first time, the traditional token of love is available in a com-bined package with the new tiny everywhere-light DOT-it, the applicable LED-light by OSRAM.

A slight touch on the cover of the light is enough to make its owner shine. For all visi-tors of the Oktoberfest who want to increase their flirt factor or who would finally like to declare “I mog di” (Bavarian for “I like you”) to the person they love – now there are no more excuses. The first luminous gingerbread heart of its kind says more than a thousand words. ”Squeeze me” – this is the message of this Wiesn. When heartfelt glances and roses don’t help, this special gingerbread heart is sure to impress. Inside the beer tent or on a walk through the grounds: This funny souvenir will conquer hearts!

The luminous gingerbread heart not only serves as a flirt accessory: It looks abso-lutely stylish and can serve to light the way home through the dark. In addition to that, it tastes delicious – the gingerbread of course, not the DOT-it. Another important hint for the marathon through the beer tents: The light which is encased a stylish alumin-ium in pink, red and silver, glows up to 100 hours non-stop. That is equivalent to four Wiesn days and nights. If one still can’t get enough, the batteries can easily be changed and the party can go on. The DOT-it-gingerbread heart thus truly is the per-fect accessory for a hearty visit to the Oktoberfest and has already reached cult status among the Wiesn-souvenirs 2006. It is available at all souvenir shops in front of or inside the beer tents.

Background DOT-it:

DOT-it is available in its stylish aluminium casing in silver, pink, red, orange, lemon-green and black. The new DOT-it will be in DIY stores, department stores and electri-cal retail outlets from March. It will have a recommended retail price of 9.95 euros in-cluding batteries.
