BOULDER, Co. - Nite Ize, Inc., a leading manufacturer of innovative products & accessories, announced today the introduction of several new products, including a new L.E.D. light designed specifically for people who ride their bikes after dark: the RideLit.

"Cycling is big in Boulder -- a lot of us at Nite Ize ride our bikes to the office," said company founder and president Rick Case. "So we have first-person knowledge of how important it is to be seen by others when you're cycling between sunset and sunrise. The RideLit has a couple of important functions - it not only alerts other commuters to your presence, but because it's available in both red and white, you can wear these lights to signal your directional orientation, too."

The RideLit L.E.D. provides clear, obvious visibility for people who cycle at night. Its adjustable elastic band attaches to your ankle to create a moving circle of light or can be attached to the handlebar or bike seat post. Its bright L.E.D. can be seen for up to a mile away, and can be set to either steady glow or flash modes.

Available in red and white (two colors that universally signify front and rear), cyclists can choose to strap a white RideLit on one ankle facing forward, and a red RideLit on the other facing to the rear, so at a glance, other commuters will immediately see which direction they're heading. The RideLit also comes with a hook and loop adhesive strip that connects to its back, for optional semi-permanent placement on the front or back of a bike. It's powered by two long-lasting 3(v) Lithium batteries, which are included, along with an extra set of replacement batteries.
