CARLSBAD, Ca., - NovaTac, Inc., a provider of advanced life-safety products, and HDS Systems, a leading manufacturer of high performance flashlights for extreme conditions, have merged to form a company to deliver high-technology lighting solutions to the tactical marketplace.
The new company will operate under the NovaTac name. “This new merger will take the successful Every Day Carry™ (EDC) flashlight brand of HDS into the entire spectrum of tactical markets,” said Joe Mintz, President of NovaTac.
The EDC line of flashlights are pocket-sized, with the power and efficiency of much larger lights. A proprietary combination of LED, optics, controllers and power supplies developed by NovaTac gives the compact EDC flashlights more output performance than any other light of its size. Designed to supplement a primary flashlight and to eliminate the need for carrying many flashlights for different situations, the EDC lights are ideal for military, law enforcement, firefighting, first-responder, and other markets with challenging environments. They are also waterproof and shockproof and extremely durable.
The lights are configurable and offer soft light for reading and a powerful pure white beam for searching and distant targets – all in a single, compact flashlight. An easy single-button click control allows rapid change to the brightness setting best suited for the situation. Configurable options include all brightness levels, emergency strobe signal, SOS signal, flashing locator (to find the flashlight in the dark), automatic switch lock to prevent accidental light turn on, and more.
