CARLSBAD, Ca. - XENONICS HOLDINGS, INC. (AMEX:XNN) announced today that the company has received two purchase orders from the Defense Logistics Agency. These orders are for 804 NightHunter systems. The purchase is for the United States Marine Corp and the dollar amount is $1,791,000. The Company in addition received a purchase order for 150 NightHunter systems for the 1st Cav HHC 4th BCT. All systems were shipped on September 29, 2006.
Revenues will be reflected in the fourth quarter which ended September 30, 2006. The 954 systems shipped reduced the company’s inventory and significantly increased the company’s cash position.
“Because of the built inventory, Xenonics was able to respond to the demands in the field. Funds to purchase products have been an issue for the military. However, as funds are becoming available, the military will have the ability to purchase necessary products. Hopefully, our fighting men and women will receive the best equipment they deserve and need,” said Alan P. Magerman, Chairman of the Board of Xenonics Holdings, Inc.
