FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Ca. - Derek McDonald has been promoted to the position of vice president of marketing for SureFire, LLC, the California-based company best known for producing high-end, highperformance flashlights. McDonald, who was previously director of marketing for SureFire, will be responsible for all marketing, brand management, ecommerce, and public relations functions at the company.

Mr. McDonald, a U.S. Navy veteran, started with SureFire in 1996 as a low-light tactics instructor and marketing manager for the SureFire Institute, a SureFire division offering tactical training for law enforcement and military professionals. He has guided SureFire’s advertising strategies and marketing activities since his promotion to marketing director in 2004. He possesses a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from University of Phoenix and over 15 years of sales and marketing experience.
