New remote switches are designed for TLR-1 and TLR-2 LED Tactical Lights
TLR-2 with Laser Sight
EAGLEVILLE, Pa. - For 2007, Streamlight® has introduced new remote switches and a key kit for its popular TLR-1™ and TLR-2™ rail-mountable LED tactical lights. The new accessories make it possible to fit the lights to a wider variety of weapons, with greater flexibility of light placement on the weapon itself.
The TLR remote switches are available in three different configurations, including:
- Shotgun coil remote switch — Coiled wire allows for cord expansion when mounted on a pump-action shotgun.
- Long gun remote switch — Attaches to railed long gun forend with clips. 8-inch straight wire allows for precise, snag-free wire routing.
- Remote tape switch — Easily attaches to most right-angle grips or other aftermarket accessories. Straight, 8-inch wire allows for snag-free wire routing.
The TLR remote switches utilize a new battery door and switch assembly. Designed for easy user installation, the new battery door assembly includes a tethered rubber cap to keep the remote switch connector dry when the remote switch is not in-use. O-ring seals on the quick-disconnect plugs on the TLR remote switches guards against water entry into the switch connector during use.
Streamlight has also developed a TLR key system that allows the lights to be mounted to virtually any firearm rail on the market. For 2007, the TLR-1 and TLR-2 come with a Glock (Universal) key installed, a 1913/Picatinny rail key, and a S&W TSW/99 key.
The keys work with Streamlight's exclusive TLR rail clamp design, which allows rapid, one-handed deployment and detachment without the user's hand passing in-front of the muzzle, with excellent sight repeatability when remounting the light on the weapon.
A TLR Key Kit containing all three keys is also available separately.
Introduced in 2006, the Streamlight TLR-1 and TLR-2 have quickly established a solid reputation for superior function, durability and reliability in the toughest conditions. The TLR-1, named Shooting Industry Magazine's 2006 "Accessory of the Year," features a three-watt super high-flux LED that delivers up to 80 lumens of pure white light. Streamlight's proprietary reflector optics deliver a highly usable spread of light, with a blinding white center beam with bright, usable side light as well. The TLR-2 adds an integrated laser sight.
The shockproof, 20,000 hour rated LED will not burn out, making replacing blown bulbs a thing of the past. In addition, the machined aluminum construction and hard-anodized finish of the TLR-1 and TLR-2 are designed for ultimate durability and reliability in extreme conditions. Both TLR models are powered by two, 3-volt CR123A Lithium batteries with a 10-year storage life.
The Streamlight TLR remote switches for the TLR-1 and TLR-2 weapon-mounted tactical lights are available now, and carry an MSRP of $39.95 each. The required battery door/switch assembly retails for $49.95, and suggested retail price of the TLR key kit is $10.00. For more information, visit www.streamlight.com or call 800-523-7488.
